After the dynamic impact of the Optima was felt in the R/C racing world, the Turbo Optima was launched in 1986 as the strongest machine in the series. Until now. In addition to large-diameter tires, large-capacity pressure shocks, front and rear stabilizers and a Le Mans 240S engine, the immortal Turbo Optima has been updated for 8.4V power and debuts as the 7th model of the vintage series. The key components of the Turbo Optima chassis have been redesigned to meet the demands of modern racing conditions and powerplants, sharing DNA with the Optima and Javelin. As well as being a reproduction of the original, the new Turbo Optima features gold anodized parts that were optional upgrades to the original, gold shock absorbers with dial-adjustable chassis height and new modern block pattern tires.

●Although a faithful reproduction of the original Turbo Optima, every major performance component has been revised for compatibility with modern power sources.
●4WD belt drive. Pulley for chain is also included in the kit, so purchasing an optional chain may change the drive system.
●Equipped with FRP radio plate compatible with major brand ESCs (speed controllers).
●Three toe angle settings (0°, 1°, 2°) can be used by inserting resin bushings into the rear hub carrier.
● Upgraded aluminum hexagonal wheel hubs can be securely fastened with set screws.
●Equipped with metal counter gear.
●Full ball bearing specifications (18 bearings).
●Includes separate helmet and polycarbonate body.
●Battery supports are compatible with various modern batteries and are secured with Velcro (KYOSHO logo battery strap) for easy battery removal.
●Hexagon screws used for mounting provide a secure construction.

The simple design of the aluminum backbone-like chassis ensures high rigidity. A total of 15 key gold anodized aluminum components that were optional upgrades to the original, such as main chassis, shock absorber and engine guard, are included as standard.

6061T6 aluminum alloy is used in the main chassis, shock absorbers and plates for superior strength and corrosion resistance. Countersunk screws reduce the number of nuts used and provide a flat finish. Gold anodized bottom guard is also included as standard.

Sintered alloy 48-pitch sprockets combined with impact-resistant nylon sprockets and newly added slipper clutch will handle today's powerhouses.

The gearbox is equipped with a slipper clutch that protects the drive system from sudden load changes such as jump landings and is easily adjustable for compatibility with different surface conditions.

Aluminum oil shocks modernized with chassis height dial adjustment, while emulating the style of the original. Refined shock absorber setting.

Reliable movement and long stroke of the double wishbone suspension with reinforced arms increases the feeling of control.

Stabilizers at the front and rear are equipped to deliver sharp performance by suppressing chassis roll through corners.

The Turbo Optima's wider body design (than the Optima) for compatibility with the 1986 8.4V battery has been accurately recreated. The color scheme of the packaging can be reproduced with the supplied mask sheet and stickers.

While still following the style of the original, the new Turbo Optima features modern block-pattern tires for evolved running performance. Stylish large diameter (50mm/2in) wheels have evolved with a one-piece design and are included as standard.
